In 2025, Tonya Kirkbeck became an integral part of the Wakefields Lawyers team.

With a background in real estate, Tonya brings a practical and insightful approach to residential conveyancing. Her experience gives her a strong understanding of the complexities buyers and sellers face throughout the transaction process. In addition to conveyancing, Tonya also excels in estate work, particularly wills and enduring powers of attorney, where she finds satisfaction in helping clients navigate sensitive and often emotional matters.

What ties her areas of focus together is her genuine passion for supporting clients through challenging situations. She offers a friendly, stable, and approachable presence, always aiming to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Tonya is currently completing her New Zealand Diploma in Legal Executive Studies and looks forward to graduating in the near future.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Tonya and her partner Steve run The Chef’s Cottage, a boutique bed and breakfast on their rural property in Reikorangi. An avid animal lover, she shares her home with two dogs, a cat, and the surrounding wildlife. In her spare time, Tonya enjoys photography, staying active, and creating healthy, wholefood-based treats for her favourite people.
