In 2021, Samantha Shaw became an integral part of the Wakefields Lawyers team.

With a strong background of 5 years in the public sector and a yearning for fresh and challenging opportunities, Samantha eagerly embraced the chance to transition into the legal industry.

Operating as a remote employee based in Blenheim, Samantha exemplifies excellence by delivering top-tier support to her team, thereby ensuring an unparalleled legal service for our clients. Driven by enthusiasm and a proactive approach, Samantha takes pride in her readiness to embrace any opportunity that comes her way.

Samantha is tasked with overseeing and maintaining all AML-based systems and procedures, with a primary focus on detecting, monitoring, and reporting instances of money laundering to the relevant authorities. In her capacity as the AML Compliance Officer, she also handles the daily management and auditing of Wakefields Lawyers’ trust administration procedures.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Samantha is not only an avid and committed softball player but also extends her passion by coaching the Girl’s College softball team. Together with her husband, she enjoys exploring the captivating destinations that the Marlborough region has to offer, often accompanied by their dog, Bonnie.
